Mutual Fund Services
Through automation, standardization and centralization, our Mutual Fund Services have been a catalyst for the dramatic expansion of business relationships between fund companies — the creators and manufacturers of fund investments — and the vast network of broker/dealers, banks, trusts and other financial services firms that offer these investments to the institutional and retail markets.
Mutual Fund Services, provided by DTCC’s National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) subsidiary, have supported the fund industry through decades of enormous growth and change.
The ACATS-Fund/SERV Interface allows mutual funds to electronically update their account registrations when a customer account is transferred from one broker or bank to another.
Commission Settlement is the most efficient method for funds to transmit commission and fee data to financial services firms. The service also allows firms active in retirement planning to process broker-to-broker transactions in the same efficient manner as fund-to-broker commissions.
The Mutual Fund Profile Service: Daily Price & Rate File allows fund companies to provide intermediary firms with accurate and timely information on daily prices in the form of net asset values (NAVs) and daily distribution rates for individual mutual funds for a specific date.
Defined Contribution Clearance & Settlement (DCC&S) is a service package that facilitates the automated processing and reporting of defined contribution and other types of retirement plans that may include mutual funds, collective and stable value funds, guaranteed investment contracts, and other investments.
Fund/SERV® is the industry standard for processing and settling mutual fund orders, including both 1940 Act and other pooled investment products for investment companies, money managers and financial intermediaries.
Fund/SPEED is an Extensible Markup Language (XML) service that supports the real-time exchange of account and order information between mutual fund companies and their trading partners using their own proprietary interface or a service provider.
Global Update allows member firms to provide updated account representative and branch change information in a standardized format that affects single and/or multiple customer accounts.
Mutual Fund Profile Service (Profile) automates the flow of nontransactional information between fund companies and intermediary firms in a centralized system using standardized formats.
Networking is an automated, centralized record-keeping system through which all customer account activities can be exchanged and reconciled by participants. The service provides accurate, timely updates in a controlled environment.
Networking for Standardized Data Reporting (SDR) is an enhancement to Networking that helps fund companies and insurance carriers better monitor trading frequency by investors whose transactions are housed in omnibus and super omnibus accounts -- a pool of individual accounts combined into one account, usually in the name of an intermediary -- and ensure that a fund's market-timing policies are being applied.
Transfer of Retirement Assets (ToRA) enables mutual fund companies to jointly initiate, acknowledge, confirm and settle the value of mutual fund shares held in fund-sponsored IRA plans.
