Overview

The Legal Notice Service (LENS) offers access to a comprehensive library of notices published by third party, public or private agents and agencies and security issuers, reporting non-settlement information about DTC-eligible securities.

Who Can Use the Service

The LENS service was developed for DTC member banks and brokers (“participants”). Non-participants may also be eligible to use the service by special contract arrangement. Customers can elect to access notices on a per notice or subscription basis, depending on the specific needs of their firm.

• Cost-efficient access to a broad range of depository source documents
• Viewing of notices in original document format
• Ability to set User Preferences by notice type or your own specific list of CUSIPs for receipt of daily e-mail alerts
• Expanded and reusable search options, including keyword or by CUSIP
• E-mail forwarding of selected notices to interested parties

How the Service Works

The LENS on the Web service offers cost-efficient, electronic access to source documents received by the Depository on DTC-eligible securities.  Notice types currently offered within the LENS on the Web service include:

Legal (LG)

• Notice to Security Holders
• Bankruptcies
• Litigation / Class Actions
• Defaults
• Other

Transfer Agent (TA)

• Notifications under Rule 17Ad-16 of the SEC Act of 1934

Tax Information (TX)

• Section 19(a) notices

Access a Notice	Viewing and/or downloading of a notice during a single user's online session.	$9 per notice
	E-mail a notice to one or more recipients	$9 per e-mail form
Subscription	Unlimited viewing and/or downloading of notice(s) by multiple users.	$1,700 a month per Participant number
	E-mail a notice to one or more recipients	$9 per e-mail form
