LNA AccessSM Headed for Testing in 2Q 2008

An online connection to Insurance Services at DTCC will soon be available to the distributor’s back office. The development of Insurance Services’ new front-end application, LNA Access, is on schedule and nearly ready for pilot testing.

This enhancement to the Licensing & Appointments (LNA) service adds a new, standalone tool that will allow distributors easy, direct access to the information and functionality that resides in the full application. Insurance Services has developed LNA Access to serve a rapidly expanding distribution network, encouraging more distributors to utilize the benefits of DTCC’s automated solutions.

The full LNA service automates the two-way flow of information needed to manage agent information between insurance carriers and distributors to fulfill licensing and appointment requirements, which are mandated by state insurance departments.

Users of the fully integrated LNA application have significantly reduced their operational costs and risks associated with traditional manual practices (copy, fax and phone), thanks to the electronic, paper-free processing of producer requests, same-day turnaround and synchronized producer records.

LNA Access will work as a separate data entry request and confirmation tool, allowing distributors to enter requests to carriers for appointments and appointment terminations, producer terminations, address changes, representative ID number changes and license confirmations. Customers will also have access to carrier transaction confirmations through an Excel-compatible file available through the DTCC WebDirect platform. Preview data entry screens for LNA Access will soon be available and pilot testing is scheduled to commence by the beginning of 2Q 2008.
